Richards is about 6 km west of our Rouse Hill base as the crow flies. It is a brand new suburb, approved in September 2020 and gazetted on 6 November 2020, from land that had been part of Riverstone and Vineyard. The name remembers Benjamin Richards, who set up an abattoir in the area in 1878. When the 2021 Census was taken the suburb had barely begun: there were just 37 residents and 23 private dwellings.
