Windscreens and truck glass fitted at Vineyard homes, yards and building sites, about 5.5 km from our Rouse Hill base.
Vineyard sits about 5.5 km north west of our Rouse Hill base as the crow flies, in the strip of land between Windsor Road and Richmond Road. For now it is a small, settled place. The 2021 Census counted 1,143 residents with a median age of 50. That will change, because Stage 1 of the Vineyard precinct has been rezoned for up to 2,300 new homes, a village centre and a primary school.
Windsor Road was upgraded to four lanes in 2006 and 2007, and the precinct plan adds a new intersection at Otago Street for the properties that front it. Four lanes of faster traffic, with trucks turning in and out of side roads, is where windscreens pick up chips. South of the suburb, the Riverstone West employment precinct between Riverstone and Vineyard stations was planned with a heavy vehicle route linking Bandon Road and Garfield Road. More estates and more industry mean more loaded trucks on local roads.
This is a working suburb. At the Census, 18.1% of employed residents were technicians and trades workers, 12.1% labourers and 11.9% machinery operators and drivers, with road freight and plumbing among the top industries. Almost a third of households (32.6%) had three or more vehicles, averaging 2.2 per dwelling. We fit the lot: family cars, work utes, vans, truck windscreens and plant.
We can fit on your driveway, in a work yard off Windsor Road, or on a building site in the new precinct. Separate houses are 64.4% of homes and flats another 22.2%, so if your car is in a shared car park, check there is room to work beside it.
Yes. Road freight transport was one of the top industries for Vineyard residents at the Census. We fit truck screens and cab glass at the yard or depot, as long as the truck is parked on firm, level ground.
Yes. Stage 1 is planned for up to 2,300 homes, so there is plenty of plant and trade traffic. We fit ute screens and machinery glass on site once the vehicle is parked clear of the work and the builder has given the okay.
We also cover Grantham Farm (1.8 km), Oakville (2.8 km), Richards (2.8 km), Box Hill (3.0 km).
