North Rocks is about 14 km south east of our Rouse Hill base as the crow flies, with Baulkham Hills on its north western side. Since the 2016 council changes most of it sits in the City of Parramatta, while the streets north of the M2 belong to The Hills Shire. The 2021 Census counted 9,136 residents, and 49.9% of homes had four or more bedrooms.
The M2 Hills Motorway cuts right through North Rocks, with on and off ramps at Barclay Road, so plenty of local trips start or finish at motorway speed. Towards North Parramatta, the industrial estates around Loyalty Road and North Rocks Road are home to businesses such as Unilever and Officeworks, which brings trucks onto streets shared with school and shopping traffic.
