Mobile windscreen replacement at Windsor Downs homes and sheds, about 10.2 km from our Rouse Hill base.
Windsor Downs is about 10.2 km west of our Rouse Hill base as the crow flies, an estate laid out in the early 1990s on what the developer called gently undulating farmland. Richmond Road, South Creek and Thorley Street form its edges, and the 363 hectare Windsor Downs Nature Reserve sits right alongside. At the 2021 Census 1,183 people lived here, with a median age of 49.
Richmond Road runs along one edge of the estate, and Transport for NSW calls it a vital link for commuters and freight between Blacktown and Windsor. So the trip out to work, school or the shops usually puts you on a busy freight road, with trucks in the next lane. The streets inside the estate are quiet, but out on Richmond Road a stone kicked up by a truck tyre is all it takes to chip or crack a windscreen.
Homes here are big and so are the car counts. 92.5% of homes had four or more bedrooms at the Census, and 57.8% had three or more vehicles, more than three times the NSW rate of 17.5%. The average was 3.5 per home. Technicians and trades workers (17.2%) and managers (17.1%) were the main jobs, with road freight and plumbing among the top industries.
We fit in your driveway, garage or beside the shed, on any firm, level spot. The nature reserve is reached from Sanctuary Drive and Surprise Crescent, so if your place is on the bush side of the estate, a hard surface near the house beats grass or leaf litter.
Yes. Road freight is one of the top local industries, and with big blocks there is usually room. We need firm, level ground beside the cab, so a concrete pad or driveway is ideal.
Yes. Households here average 3.5 vehicles, so ask when you book and we will plan the time for each windscreen.
We also cover Bligh Park (2.4 km), South Windsor (3.2 km), Melonba (3.6 km), Angus (3.4 km).
