Gables is about 5.5 km north of our Rouse Hill base as the crow flies. Council calls it The Hills' newest suburb: it was gazetted on 17 July 2020, mostly carved out of Box Hill with a smaller slice from Maraylya. Even so, 3,339 people already lived here at the 2021 Census. The median age was 32, so this is young families in brand new houses.
Gables is still being built. The Box Hill North land was rezoned from rural transition to housing in 2015, and The Gables estate covers 330 hectares, first planned for more than 4,000 homes around a lake and town centre. Red Gables Road cuts through the middle and carries residents, school traffic for Santa Sophia Catholic College and the trades working on new houses. Unfinished streets and site entries leave gravel and clay on the road, and tyres flick it back up.
Nearly every home is a separate house (96.9%) and 91.4% have four or more bedrooms. Most households run two cars: 54.4% had two vehicles at the Census and only 0.6% had none. Professionals made up 31.1% of working residents. Then there are the builders, concreters and machine operators on the estate, with utes, tippers and plant that all carry glass.
Your driveway or garage is fine, or a quiet, level street outside. For builders we come on site, away from active work. If you catch the 643 bus from Gables to Rouse Hill station, leave the car at home and we can fit it while you are out.

Yes. Utes, trucks and machine cabs can be done on site. We need the vehicle on firm, level ground clear of active work, and the site manager's OK.
